MISSIONS

In Acts 1:8 Jesus instructs us that “You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” This means that we should tell our neighbors in the US about God’s love and our neighbors all over the world about God’s love. At Journey, home missions and foreign missions are very important to us! Our philosophy from the early days of Journey, has been for us to partner with the missionaries that we support.

 

We believe that it is very important for everyone at Journey to understand what missions are all about and to help with this, we led three short-term mission trips to various parts of the world in 2008. We are leading more in 2009. We had people from Journey serve in Honduras, the Dominican Republic, and Uganda. We hope to increase the number of short-term trips which are offered at Journey to a least one per month in the very near future!
