Journey Students
At Journey Church, we believe that students are the church of today, not just a part of the church. This philosophy shapes and drives each aspect of our student ministry as we strive to provide environments appropriate for engaging students to connect, grow, and serve with each other and Christ.
We are not about being an “awesome youth group” or “youth church.” We are about connecting students through a dynamic age-appropriate environment, growing them through consistent teaching and application of truth, and guiding them into opportunities to serve within the church and broader community.
Journey recognizes that students have unique needs and interests, and we as a church have a responsibility to contextualize with the present culture and generation. However, this does not separate the student ministry from Journey Church; we are all one body, and we operate as one in our goals, vision, and mission.
Journey’s Student Pastor, Smooth Via, is passionate about raising up leaders, building teams of students surrendered to Jesus, and teaching solid, life-changing truth.
