TheBLOCK (2-3yrs)
As children enter this new phase of life, they learn things that will stick with them forever. They learn about colors, simple numbers, and begin to wonder about their world. We believe that this is a perfect opportunity to begin introducing them to their Creator and His love for them.
ENVIRONMENT:
In our 2-3yr old environments (ROUNDABOUTS A&B) children begin opening God’s word to start exploring some foundational truths about who He is. Each week, children are engaged to participate in activities centered around one simple idea about how God made them, God loves them, and that Jesus wants to be their friend forever.
Children who are not yet 3 as of August 31, 2011 participate in these environments. We ask that parents notify us of those children potty training. In case of accidents, please include a change of clothes if not wearing training diapers.
In addition to participating in their small group environment, children will also enjoy a large group time of music and story that teaches God’s simple truths and a simple memory verse from God’s word.
SNACKS:
Children in this environment are offered Cheerios as the snack of choice. Occasionally, we may have an alternative snack that enhances the truth we are learning about God. If so, it will be posted on the outside of the room. Please inform the leaders of any allergies you are aware of.
