KIDZ

At our Sunday services (there is no Kidz Community at our Saturday service), Journey Kidz is a place for children to come and experience God and learn His Word in a fun and creative environment. At Journey Kidz, we utilize:

• Hands-On Group Activities teach teamwork and Biblical truth.
• High Energy Praise and Worship gives us the opportunity to thank God for who He is while at the same time revealing a bit of Himself to us.
• Large Group presentations of God's Word through teaching and drama provide an interactive lesson where kids can learn new truths about themselves and about Jesus.
• Small Group breakouts reinforce the lesson in a comfortable environment where children learn to apply what they have learned in the world around them whether it be at school, with family, or with friends.

Through these different elements children are able to discover biblical truths on a personal level. By learning to apply these truths in their everyday lives, kids will grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, or for some of them, they may decide to take the first step in that life-long friendship. Our overall mission with Journey Kidz is to partner with you in building strong foundations in the life of your children and your family.

The BLOCK is where it all begins. The BLOCK is where your children will be cared for, loved, and know there is a BiG God who loves them and created them. Even at these young ages, kids can learn about God and have fun while doing it!

 

 

In MiNi CiTy, our kids learn BiG truths about God’s story. Here, they will learn how God loves them, how he created them, and that Jesus wants to be their best friend forever. These simple truths will prepare them for their next big steps in life. Each week through crafts, activities, songs, and sketches, children will remember valuable lessons that they can take home with them.

 

 

The Kidz GIG Studio is where your children will begin to realize just how important the Bible is in their everyday life. Through exciting and fun songs, sketches, and environments, kids will learn about different virtues that God teaches in His word and more importantly how to apply them in their lives at school, with friends, and in the family. Each Studio time also has small groups that are age appropriate to help them follow Jesus at their level.

 

 

 

Our priority at Journey Kidz is to help kids follow Jesus. We realize that this can only be done in a safe and fun environment. That is why security is important to us.

 

On your first visit to Journey Kidz, you’ll be asked to stop by our Check-In Desk and fill out a quick form that lets us know about you and your child(ren). You can also let us know of any special concerns or allergies that would be helpful for us as we partner with you.

 

You’ll also be given a security tag. The number on the tag must match the number on your child’s tag after the session.

 

Once you are checked-in, you and your child will be directed to their small group for the day. All of our Journey Kidz leaders have background checks and are passionate about teaching your child how to follow Jesus.

 

During the hour, a Street Team member will watch the halls for extra security and in case of an urgent need in a small group area.

 

Then, once the session is over, you simply bring your tag back to your child’s small group area.

 

 

Older children in The BLOCK are provided with crackers along with water.

 

Children in MiNi CiTy are also given crackers, and water. Occasionally, an alternate snack will be offered to reinforce the lesson. If so, a note will be posted outside the door.

 

The Kidz GIG Studio often gives candy as prizes or for things pertaining to the lesson. There may be certain times when another type of food will be offered with the lesson as well.

 

If you have a concern about a snack being offered, please inform your child’s small group leader.

 

 

Our goal is to help parents teach their kids to follow Jesus. Each week, you’ll be given a card that gives you tips and tools on how to reinforce at home what we are teaching at JourneyKidz.

 

At Journey Kidz, we provide several opportunities for kids to do what kids do best: Play!

 

Summer Camp: Each summer we sneak away to camp for a week where our kids are challenged to grow in God. All children in 3rd-5th grade are encouraged to leave their room at home and trade it for a cabin in the woods. Away from all the distractions, they will discover what it means to have a relationship with Christ while enjoying horseback riding, swimming pools, field games, and much, much more.

 

Events: We like to think that there’s already enough excitement in our Kidz Gig program on Sunday mornings, but who are we kidding?! That is why we strive to provide other activities that the entire family can enjoy together like hay rides, bowling nights, kids festivals and more.
