Journey Kidz Preschool

MISSION: To assist parents in helping children to discover a relationship with Jesus Christ and to assist in equipping them with biblical truths as they begin their life journey.

preschool-groupGOAL: To help parents lay the foundation for children to know that God made them, God loves them, and Jesus wants to be their friend forever.

STRUCTURE/CURRICULUM: In Kidz Preschool we have two areas of ministry from Birth—2 yrs. Old and 3-5 yrs. Old. We use “First Look” Curriculum which may be viewed at www.myfirstlook.org. This material follows monthly themes for preschoolers to know that God made them, God loves, them and Jesus wants to be their friend for forever.  We start teaching at the age of one and use various methods from creative storytelling with puppets, praise and worship, role play and engaging the children in activities applicable to the biblical principle.  We also emphasize training our children to pray together and to see that God answers prayer as they pray for each other.

BIRTH-TWO YEARS OLD

preschool-babyThis area of ministry consists of two classrooms: Crawlers and Toddlers.  The goal in each of these classrooms is from the moment a leader connects with the child at the door is to teach them about who God is and that He loves them.  Each week we train in a specific principal that each child will be able to know that God exists and that He has a plan and purpose for them by using music and storytelling. In our Toddler room we may also use a hands-on activity that will help them to relate to their everyday life.

THREE-FIVE YEARS OLD

preschool-boyThis area of ministry consists of two classrooms: 2-3’s and 4-5’s. The goal in each of these classrooms is to connect these children to Jesus Christ and help them build relationships with other children. We use two aspects within these rooms; Large Group which is time to tell the bible story using creativity and lead them in praise and worship. Then we have Small Group where the children break into smaller groups to engage in a hands-on activity or life application that will help them relate the biblical truth to their everyday life.
