Journey Church is a brand new church that began in the party room of Buffalo Lanes Bowling Center on Oak Forest Road in North Raleigh.  How's that for a place to meet?!  We met for the first time on February 27, 2005 with about 10 families.  That wasn't our official launch date, but it was simply the beginning of a six month planning process to figure out what it was that we were setting out to do.  We spent months developing leadership and planning for our September launch date.  We met in several different places including a hotel meeting room, another church building, and area homes.  It was a time when God began to unite a group of people to make a difference in the North Raleigh community.

On September 18, 2005, Journey Church opened the doors for its first service at Millbrook Elementary School on East Millbrook Road.  Over 250 people showed up on that first Sunday.  From the very first day we have sensed the hand of God and have committed ourselves to following God's plan for Journey.  Each day brings a new excitement as we see people connecting with God and others and pursuing a life of significance.
